Sonoma Luxury Homes – Kenwood
Kenwood, 11 miles north of Sonoma, has some beautiful luxury homes off of Highway 12.
The town itself is only a few blocks of stores and a general store, but the country around here is lovely.
This is wine country, and one of the landmark wineries in the area is just on the edge of town – the Kunde Family Estate. The Kunde Family has been farming this 1,850 acre estate for five generations.
The Kunde family acquired the ranch in 1904, but the vineyards here were first planted in 1879 by a pioneer named John Drummond who imported cuttings from the famous Chateaux Margaux and Lafite Rothschild estates near Bordeaux, France.
This is a lovely area to live in – quiet, yet only 11 miles north of the beautiful city of Sonoma. If you are looking for a lovely second or vacation home, or are seriously considering moving and relocating to the Sonoma wine country, Kenwood might be an area you would want to explore.
